 Biography

Amit is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mechanics & Biomedical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M), India. Before joining IIT-M, he was a DST INSPIRE faculty in the Department of Materials Engineering at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Amit obtained a doctorate in nanoscience and an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology. His group at IIT-M is interested in developing self-powered and programmable soft materials for complex tissue engineering and soft robotics.
