The broad overarching theme of our group is to develop novel techniques and learning algorithms for better characterization of biomedical signals (time series); understanding interactions and synchronization between signals; and predicting diagnosis, extreme events and suitable control interventions. One of the focus areas of application is neuroscience. We are also interested in the application of the developed tools in other complex systems such as in earth sciences. In this context, our research interests are outlined below:
